The Audi FIS World Cup for women takes place every year in St. Moritz. The races have become a classic in the women's racing calendar and take place in December. St. Moritz has had a permanent place in the World Cup racing calendar since 1998. St. Moritz is the only venue worldwide to hold five Alpine World Ski Championships. In 1934, 1948, 1974, 2003 and 2017, the world's best athletes fought for world championship medals against the unique backdrop of the Engadine mountains.
