"Good Luck Germany" - On time for the Europa Championship's qualification match between Germany and Austria, we at Sportkultour planed and executed a high-end soccer evening. The guests of an international water, waste and energy company were invited to a Soccer-Panel right across the VELTINS arena, followed by a get-together and the attendance of the qualifying match.
"So Freunde, jetzt geht´s los (Well friends, let's get started)" - those were Manni Breuckmann's, a legend under the sport journalists, opening words. Former national soccer player Klaus Fischer and Matthias Herget joined the WDR-Journalist for this panel and round of Q&A, ending with a heated slugfest discussing Phillip Lahm's book, the role of Lukas Podolski, and the debate about Germany's leading soccer players. The highlight being Manni Breuckmann's reading of Edi Finger's Live-Commentary from the memorable match Germany vs. Austria in Cordoba - with an austrian accent.
It was on a day with wonderful late summer weather that the guests enjoyed an Austrian buffet, beer and the qualification match in the VELTINS Arena. Watching the Austrian team being sent home after the glorious victory of 6:2. What more could a loving soccer-fan hope for!
